Great conversation about synodality happening now with Kristin Colberg and Ormond Rush! https://t.co/xey2vLW8dm
Author(s): E. Jane Rutter
In Seasons of the Spirit, Jane Rutter guides you gently through the rhythms of the church's liturgical seasons including Advent, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time.
She finds the "God moment" in the actions of daily life: a sports event, taking a walk, fixing cars, waiting in traffic jams, shopping, or canning salsa. Her conversational style reminds you of sharing a cup of coffee at a friend's kitchen table.
Lifelong Catholics and new seekers alike will be touched by the simple beauty in these reflections.
Find a sense of peace from spending a few moments each day with this book as your prayer guide. You will discover anew the wonder of creation and refresh your spirit. Move your prayer life to a deeper level with these faith-filled, inspiring reflections.
E. Jane Rutter directs the Stewardship Office for the Diocese of Jefferson City and writes a spiritual column for The Catholic Missourian. She is currently participating in the Master of Pastoral Studies program at Catholic Theological Union. A Spanish speaker, she grew up in South America and is a past member of the board of directors of the International Catholic Stewardship Council. She and her husband David have three children.
"It is a joy to see that Jane Rutter is offering the results of her prayerful reflections to help us all as we progress through the liturgical year. I am certain that all who avail themselves of Seasons of the Spirit will be greatly rewarded with God's grace and peace." -- Most Reverend John R. Gaydos, Bishop of Jefferson City
"Whatever the seasons - be it Advent, Lent, Easter, or Ordinary Time - Jane Rutter is attentive to God's Spirit moving in the events of everyday life and in the hearts of people. In Seasons of the Spirit we are given a window into God's creative presence so active in our messy but beautiful world." -- Bishop Robert Morneau, Pastor of Resurrection Parish Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Green Bay
